Whether our physical doors are open or closed, the Hirshhorn introduces the most exhilarating artists and transformative ideas of our time by sharing the nation’s collection of modern and contemporary art. In April 2020, the museum launched the Hirshhorn Artist Diaries, an ongoing online video archive of insights from leading global artists on how the twin pandemics, COVID-19 and racial inequity, are shaping their creative practices.
Express yourself! We want to hear how you are keeping art in your life. How is art shaping your worldview? Are you responding to this moment artistically, and if so, how?
