In July 2020, the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center hosted Flow States, an open mic that featured music, poetry, and observations from young queer Pacific Islanders and Asian Americans in quarantine. A part of Smithsonian APA’s ongoing project  "A Day in the Queer Life of Asian Pacific America," these dispatches help deepen our understanding of how members of our community have been affected in a time of heightened vulnerability, raised awareness, and creative opportunity.
