Fred Rogers (Mr. Rogers), and his legacy, help me find to peace, inspiration and resilience in these current times. For all of us who grew up being his "neighbor," the feeling was one of being held with care, stability, and honesty--a sense we need now more than ever. As a person who now works with children, I think of him often. I ponder what he would say and do in these times. I try to channel his calm strength and dedication to truth, justice, and love. His neighborhood was imperfectly beautiful. We can all learn from that.
